Wardens on Steam
Problem
During the early development of Wardens, our team faced several challenges. The core issue was ensuring that the game mechanics and feedback systems were intuitive and engaging for our target audience. We needed to identify potential bugs, detect any friction points and ensure the game provided clear feedback to players during the gameplay. We also wanted to test if the core mechanics were aligned with the players expectations and if any adjustments were needed to improve the experience.
Solution
As a UX-designer, I conducted in-depth user interviews and play test with aound 20 people from our target audience. These interviews focused on understanding their gameplay experience, detecting bugs, and identifying any dislikes or confusion.
✅ Testing and identifying issues with system feedback
✅ Deteching bugs and areas of friction in the game mechanics
✅ Gathering player inupt to see if any mechanic needed adjustment
Result
We identified and fixed critical issues based on feedback, improving player interaction with the units. Bug corrections enhanced overall gameplay, while aligning user expectations with game mechanics ensured a smoother experience. These improvements collectively contributed to a successful post-launch.
